I'm trying to understand more fully what is meant by "on the throw" as noted in iScore. I was reading MLB 10.06 Determining the value of base hits and it reads as follows:
(b) When, with one or more runners on base, the batter advances more than one base on a safe hit and the defensive team makes an attempt to put out a preceding runner, the scorer shall determine whether the batter made a legitimate two-base hit or three-base hit, or whether the batter-runner advanced beyond first base on the fielder's choice.
I have been using batter runner advances an extra base "on the throw" when attempting to put out a preceding runner. The rule indicates I should credit this as a fielders choice for the batter runner. But when I recreate this scenario in iScore I see the on the throw option but do not have a button that allows for fielders choice.
Is there a possibility that we are missing a scoring option here? I'm guessing that this is what is meant by on the throw but to someone reading the score cast, they may be expecting this to read fielders choice rather than on the throw.
Or am I way out in left field?
Fielders choice or on the throw?

Re: Fielders choice or on the throw?
In the case you are describing, "On the Throw" would actually be the way to score it and is more descriptive than "Fielders Choice". Fielders Choice as a statistic really only applies to the way a Batter can make it to first base. Everything after that, the fielder has a choice about what to do, but it is not as descriptive to say a runner advanced on the fielder's choice to throw to home as it is to say the runner advanced on the throw.
