Problems with players

I just used iScore for the first time this weekend. I really like it but am trying to figure out some quirky things. First is this:


I have these duplicates. I know I can merge, I'll look at how to do that. But I have no idea how they ended up in there twice. They were only entered once. Just curious if anyone knows how these things happen so I can avoid it in the future.


Secondly, if you scroll down to the bottom of the player list, these players are separated out. Why? At the top the rest are entered alphabetically but these are stuck down way below. I don't know what I did differently entering them to make this happen or if it affects anything.

OK, I figured out the 2nd question. It's sorted by last name and I didn't enter anything on that. So never mind on that one! Any input on how dupes are created would be good though.

Duplicates would only be in the system from entering the names twice. Is it possible you both created the players manually, and also used Discover to pull them in from seomewhere? Or maybe you had a league turned off that you had created players in, so did not realize they already existed so created them a second time? Or maybe created them in the Lineup for a team and did not add them to the Roster for the team, so the next time you created them on a Lineup again? Thank you. I bet it has to do with the last thing, lineup/roster issues. I need to look more at the instructions on that before the next tournament to make sure I don't do that again.
