Player Spotlight Information & Link placement

Post by RCEVANS » Tue Mar 23, 2010 1:23 pm

Hi, Where can I find information about what is contained on the Player Spotlight websites? Additionally, I'd like to suggest that you place a Player Spotlight Subscription link next to each players name on the Team Website / Stats and or Roster pages. This would allow the players to subscribe to this function individually and would greatly increase sales.
Thanks

The Player Spotlight websites are exactly like the Team Websites, but they focus on an individual player instead of a team. This means if a player plays on more than one team (Spring League, Fall League, Travel Team, School ball, etc), it will show the statistics for all teams the player plays on, and the details of every game they participate in (as opposed to team websites which show stats for all players on a single team).

The Player Spotlight sites still have all the same tabs (Home Page, Calendar, Statistics, Games, Photos) as team websites and can by custom styled just like the team websites.

The Admin Website actually does have a "Create" link next to each player when you view Team Rosters from there. We will be adding them as In App purchases in a future release as well. We don't want to overwhelm any of our interfaces with "sales pitches" though as the true functionality of iScore is its ability to score games, and you can get all the data out of iScore with no additional purchases at all. The websites are really just offered for people who are interested in a way to easily keep data updated on a centralized site, and save the steps of manually creating your own website from the data provided. For people that want them, they are fantastic, but we don't want anyone to feel we are force-feeding additional products on them.

We will be creating a showcase of websites in the future, but for now, you can find some links to the ones people have shared here:

Thanks for the very timely response, I just know that my players are insane about the team site and mostly tell me they can't find things like their hit chart. I don't think any of my players would view the player spotlight create link as a sales pitch at all. I may be wrong but I know all of my guys are just crazy about wanting more and more out of the product.
Anyway, Thank you guys so much for what you do, Everyone of my guys go home after work on Monday nights and review their stats and watch the scorecast games. You have created a new standard in non-pro baseball/softball. And I think folks are more than happy to pay for it.
Best Regards,
Roger Evans
