Situation:
Runner on 1st, deep fly ball to right center. F8
Runner tags, and advances to second. Play ends.
The tag is appealed before the next pitch to the plate umpire, (1-3), who calls the runner out (left early)
How should this be scored?
note: so far I've scored 2 games with iScore, and I've seen some of the oddest stuff happen. Maybe tomorrow will be a normal game...

Re: Out on Appeal
In this situation, the play should just be entered as Runner Out, Left Base Early, or you can mark it as Force Out at the base the runner left. You can put a note in the play to explain that it was on appeal, but in the end, it is just like any other player being thrown out for having been off the base when the fielder caught the fly ball.
Re: Out on Appeal
...oddity is often the norm in scoring, especially in youth baseball/softball.. that is one of the neat things about iScore, and challenges it faces. When scoring in detail, You start to notice all the "odd ones" and start to understand the complexity that iScore baseball/softball has verse some other sports. and how well iscore has anticipated many/most situations and why they continue to evolve with it .TexasRebel wrote:Situation: note: so far I've scored 2 games with iScore, and I've seen some of the oddest stuff happen. I've been coaching girls softball for 4 years. We play 50-70 games/year. I have yet to see a "normal" game.TexasRebel wrote:Situation:
