Love the iPhone app. Just trying the iPad version.
Having some troubles getting my iPhone info over to the iPad. I may be doing things wrong, but it seemed obvious to me, so maybe others would fall into this trap. I assumed (incorrectly) that I could Export my data from the iPhone, then select Import from the iPad and my data would populate that device. I would have assumed that I could score on my phone one day, export that file, then the next day, import on the pad and go score another. At least for me, that is not the case.
So, I'll explain what was happening to me: I'm taking a brand new installation on the iPad, going immediately to Options:Import. I confirm and the app restarts. Now, that has now messed up the program so that if I try and add a team, the app quits. If I go to Game Manager, the app quits. If I go to League Manager, name a league, make it active and dismiss the pop-over, the league is NOT added, and the app freezes, allowing no input and requiring a Home Button exit.
Realizing that Import/Export was not going to populate my iPad, I spent the next hour trying unsuccessfully to do a correct Data-Share procedure, but was never successful. I realize now that each time I had attempted an import without first doing an export FROM THE SAME DEVICE, the app gets corrupted and will not function.
The fix... Delete the app to start fresh. Re-install. Create a small bit of information ( I did one team name ). Export that data. Import and restart. Now the app is "initialized" in my words, and you can create teams and leagues, and bring data from other devices onto your iPad.
So, I obviously was confused, but it seemed to make sense, and sent me down a long road of not-obvious app problems and headaches. I'll still need to figure out the methodology of using either the iPhone or iPad, and having the data synced together for the teams I score.
Just an FYI.

Re: Crash report
The Data Sharing functionality (Options->Data Sharing) is there for the purpose of sharing data between devices.
To share between iPad and iPhone, you will have to use the "Get from Web Database" option.
You can find more information on that here:

It is also in the News section of the iScore application itself.

Re: Crash report
Thanks, and I understand now.
But, just so you know, if a user selects import before he selects export in the options pane, it will cause the app to crash, become unfunctional, and require a delete and restore. So, if that matters to you... now you know.
Thanks!

Re: Crash report
Yes, we have now fixed that thanks to your post above. We were able to make it so an Import before an Export no longer causes the issue. It will just come back with a message that says the import is Unsuccessful now.
Thank you!
