Earned run on a foul ball
Earned run on a foul ball
The batter hits an easy foul ball just outside third base which the third baseman somehow misses. It is officially scored as an error. The next pitch to the same batter he hits a solo home run. Is this an earned run? There were no outs in the inning.

Re: Earned run on a foul ball
First, who was the official scorer and why was the foul ruled an error? Was it a fly ball that was foul that should've been caught?
None the less, the run is unearned because the non-catch was officially ruled an error.

It was a college game and yes, it was an easy pop fly that should have been caught. Not that high, in & out of the glove, no wind, sun, etc... Just an easy drop.

To score a foul ball error, just use Misc->Assign Error.
