It has been a long time for me but I'll make my best guess. Number 1 is the first inning, if your dart hits there it is a hit, anywhere else is an out. Bullseye is HR, next ring out is triple, next ring is double, etc. Number 2 is second inning.......etc.

That is my best recollection.
