"New Season" in Team Edit Page

On the team edit page, there are six buttons: Roster, Leagues, Team Stats, Email Stats, Team Website and New Season. What is New Season and how does that work with the Leagues functionality?

New Season will create a new league for you automatically, and assign your team and players to that new league.
