Ability to merge game data - can I? how? (answered)

HI there,

I am relatively new to an analyst role with a leading fastpitch team. The team's scorer already uses iScore so i wanted to utilize the power of it with the system/process I am looking to introduce (including EdgeHQ and Dartfish).

An important part of my role is to capture pitch type and location live (which can be tough), as this is too much to ask of the team scorer as he has enough to concentrate on.

If I was to capture this using iScore, can I then merge it somehow with the scorers capture so that it can all be exported to EdgeHQ relatively quickly after the end of the game? Are there any general suggestions about this????

Thanks.

No automatic merge capability.
iScore is a singular scoring program.
(Not like a simultaneous multi player online game)

Yes, capturing score, pitch speed, type and location takes a lot of focus and attention.

I see two options... 1) You can manually chart on paper and manually add post game in pitch by pitch ( speed, location, type) or 2) have a pitch spotter work with scorer and enter real time.

The best practice i have seen uses a 2 or 3 man scoring crew/PA one runs iscore, one responsible for spotting plays in general and one running radar and calling out pitch type and location.
