I hope this isn't too confusing, but here goes...
I started scoring the game and after the first 8 batters had batted, I noticed that the 9th batter showing wasn't correct (it was displaying my 1st batter). In my hurry to keep up, I did a quick offensive substitution by touching that player that was up to bat and switching with the one that should be batting. I thought everything was good until the next inning and noticed it had skipped the 1st batter and was displaying the 2nd batter. I realized I had set the original lineup with NO on the batting of the 9th batter and so when I had substituted, it actually substituted into the 1st batter's slot and that's why it was showing number 2 batter instead of number 1. When this happened, I just wrote on paper what happened to the first batter and then when the real 2nd batter came up, then used the "END INNING" to get out of that cycle. I fixed the lineup with YES on batting and continued with the game and everything seemed okay.

Is there a way to go back after the game and put the correct batting order and add a play with the correct batter- insert 1st batter of the second inning (the one I skipped)??

You can modify who was in the lineup after the game, but you can not "insert batters". The at bats are stored with the lineup position (thus changing who is at that lineup position is fune), but you can not insert a batter as that would shift all the batters down in the lineup, but leave the at bats in the lineup positions they were originally scored for.

If you just need to update the batting lineup, you can go to Game Manager, select the game, then go to Pitch by Pitch. Select the "Game Starts" event, and from there you can edit the starting lineup. This will not shift the at bats around though. As noted, they are tied to the batting order.

One way to avoid this mistake is to be sure to put 9(or 10 if that is the case) random batters in the lineup...

When you actually go to set the lineup, any mistakes can be corrected anytime during or after the game by going to misc-> starting lineup and editing accordingly...


i found this out because I was in a rush to get the lineups done and missed a few positions while searching for players. So I figured that if I got the order correct and just had one batter listed to start, I could catch up between innings...

not so... the plate appearances did not transfer down as batters were added to the lineup... they just disappeared.
