Opponents

Yet another request. In the 'Games' section, I would like to see information about the opponents for a particular game. Specifically, I want their stats for that game. Also, when we get Hit Charts for each game

I would like to also see the opponents hit charts as well as my team charts. To avoid columnitis on the main Game screen, you could put the opponents info below the main team info.
For example:
Good Guys Batting
Good Guys Pitching
Good Guys Fielding
**************
Bad Guys Batting
Bad Guys Pitching
Bad Guys Fielding
Thanks again for such a great product. If you guys weren't so responsive you wouldn't get so many requests to improve things.

I recognize this request was for adding info to the TEAM WEB SITEs.
(so you have 1 stop shopping) But I want to be sure for other folks reading this thread they realize.. most of the information requested does exist todya, just in other places not 'one stop shopping'
** Opponent game by game stats can be emailed from the Game info screen (HTML, Excel or CSV file)
** opponent hit charts are available by team, (not yet by game), from the free Admin Web Site

Thanks for clarifying. Yes, this is already available. I would just like it on the team site.

I like the idea of the 'one-stop-shop', but I'm not sure that the Team Website is the place - or just not the only place. Not everyone purchases the team web site - or wants to. I would vote for putting this information in both the admin site and the team site. That way, if you don't want to pay just to get your data you don't have to. I'm sure the marketing guys are real happy with me right now.

The one-stop-shop for the Team is what appeals to me the most. That wouldn't solve all of my analysis requests, but it would make the most sense for the team parents/coaches. For instance, if we are playing Teams X and Y and those teams are playing a game, I can scout them, but the game results/stats won't show up on the team website. This makes perfect sense. I can always e-mail from the device to get team results.
I don't know that it is ever in FTMs plans to host stats on the admin site. In my opinion, there is a little bit of a disconnect right now in that some items are hosted on the Admin site and some are only available on the device. If I want to see all of the stats for a team that I have scored (and it is not one I have a Team Website for), I have to e-mail from the device from Team Manager | Team Stats. To get the hit charts, I have to go to the Admin site.

As noted in another thread, the Team Websites are not intended to provide analytics. It is a destination to view information about the team the site is for, not to analyze performance in a variety of ways or to view statistics / data for the opponents. You CAN use leagues to achieve some of the requests from above, but this is a side effect of the flexibility of leagues, not the intended purpose when it comes to Team Websites.
The device itself lets you run statistics data on any team you score against, including cumulative statistics, hit charts for any player, etc. You can email this data to yourself, put the CSV / Excel file in spreadsheets, and do any kind of analysis you would like. This is all free functionality.
Everything except the Play by Play and Box Score listing is available from the device itself. The Play by Play and Box Score are available for free on the Admin Website simply because we do not want anyone to have to pay any additional costs to get basic data from the system, and we felt Play by Play and Box Score were basic pieces of data.
The team websites are an optional add on, but there is actually nothing there related to the scoring of games / viewing of data that is not available on either the device or the Admin Website in some form or another. What the team website does do is provide convenience (one export updates all statistics / games for the team), and a hosted website that can be viewed by others (as opposed to the Admin Website and device itself which are intended to be used only by the purchaser of the application).
We will continue to expand the analytics capabilities of the system going forward, but it is not likely that it will be part of "Team Websites". It will likely be functionality on the device itself or output from the device itself. For even more in depth analytics, we may create a separate analytics module in the future if there is enough interest.
Thank you.
