Ipod touch software to ipad specific software
This may be a stupid question... I had an ipod touch previously with iscore; I purchased an Ipad. I downloaded the software from apple and installed it. Then I noticed there are 2 versions. One that appears to be ipad specific. If I download the ipad specific app will I:
1. overwrite my current data on the ipad
2. be charged for a 2nd app purchase?
3. are there any large differences between the iphone/ touch version and the ipad version?
Thanks in advance!

1. The iPhone/iPod Touch version of the software and the iPad version keep their own copies of the data even when run on the same device, but it gets tricky with Export and Import. They share a customer ID, so if you export on your iPad using the iPhone version, then import to the iPad version, you will get the data that was exported from the iPhone version.
#2 and #3. Yes, the iPad version is a separate application so would have a separate charge. Here is a link to more information about the iPad specific version - viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1182" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. A lot of things have been updated from that initial post, but the main difference is better use of the screen. You get to see a lot more information at once on the iPad version (full lineups for both teams, the full scorecard, pitch by pitch and pitch tracking detail right on the main screen, scoreboard on the same screen as all the options for entering notes, sending tweets, etc). So the overall functionality of the two versions is the same, but the iPad makes many things easier.

Re: Ipod touch software to ipad specific software
if you used iscore on an itouch and now have made the investment in an iPad, i highly recommend getting the iPad specific version. I am confident you will not be disappointed. It does not have any 'additional functionality', just better use of the larger screen, The ability to have more information on the screen at once is very helpful. well worth the 10$
here is a link on how to migrate to the new device or use them both..

Re: Ipod touch software to ipad specific software
Thanks for the info. Sounds like I should get the ipad version. I mostly didn't want to do something stupid and mess up or duplicate all my data (and yes, i also didn't want to spend 10$ for the same exact app)
Re: Ipod touch software to ipad specific software
rest assured, if you export your original data from your iTouch, you are safe...
before you start to transfer data, you will want to ask your self a couple questions
1) are you going to continue use both?
2) do you have any team site subscriptions?
how you answer them will impact if you self transfer the data (by options > data sharing > web ) or by email to support@iscorecentral.com.
if you have team site subscriptions, and you want them to be housed from your iPad, that takes FTM intervention, if you just want data on both, you can do that yourself.

I do have data on the new Ipad and a team website already. Just not with the new ipad specific software. Do I just use the web data sharing tool to import everything I've already exported?

Re: Ipod touch software to ipad specific software
Since you are running the iPod Touch version on the same device, all you need to do is do an Options->Export from the iPad using the iPod Touch version, then go to the iPad version on the same device and do an Options->Import. It will make a copy of the data from your iPod Touch version. Now when you export from the iPad, it will automatically update the website since the website is tied to the DEVICE, not the version of the software.

How do i get my ipod nano to unfreeze? My ipod nano is stuck on one screen. I tried resetting it and plugging it into my computer but that seems to have no affect. My ipod is a second or first generation idk which.

You sure you are in the right place? This is a support forum for iScore Baseball. iScore will not run on an iPod Nano. It runs on iPod Touches, but that is the only iPod device it will run on.
