Can someone tell me the steps to score this?

1) man on first
2) batter gets a single that advances the man from first to second
3) man at second continues to third
4) error on throw to third
5) man at third goes home on throwing error to third
6) batter advances to second on throwing error to third

Thanks in advance!

In Play, Single, (hit location info)

what happened to runner on first? Safe, Home, Error, (whoever threw the ball)

what happened to batter? Safe, Second, On the Throw (or Error + whoever threw the ball)

Ok, cool. That's how I did it. I just wasn't sure if I had to do 2 steps...the first being, for example, runner at first to second "advanced by batter" then to home on error, or altogether like you wrote. Thanks much!

In this situation, this run count like earned or unearned?

It depends on what happens the rest of the inning. To determined Earned or Unearned, you have to replay the inning in you mind as though no errors occurred, and if the run would have scored before there were 3 outs without errors, then the run counts as earned.

Look at rule 10.16 here:

It is not always easy, but iScore follows the rules listed here when determining earned vs unearned runs.

An ultimate question, in the hit chart, what means the yellow lines?

Yellow lines mean the runner reached base on the hit ball because of an error or a fielders choice (as opposed to the Green Hits or the Red Outs).

If I do this sequence the way iscore suggests it shows the runner on first getting to 2nd via the same error that got her to 3rd and home when she actually got to 2nd via the batters hit then to third and home on the error ??
