will FTM be updating the current iscore for android to take advantage of the screen size on tablets like the xoom. like the ipad version? or will we have to buy a whole new version of iscore for android tablets?

We have it on our list to enhance the existing version to add more features for Android tablets. As it is, it works just fine on the tablets, but we do intend to add some of the capabilities we have in the iPad version. It will not require a new purchase. The adoption rates of Android tablets at this point are nowhwere near what the iPad was, but hopefully that will change.

I'd like to see this as well... at least optimized for landscape mode.

From the answer I see above, it sounds like there is no hurry to add a tablet specific version for android. I believe we all paid the same amount for the app, yet I see landscape and skins available on the ipad. What else are we missing on the Android app and is there any time frame for an update. I like the program but am a little frustrated seeing the options I don't have access to. I assume the adoption of Android tablets will jump significantly this summer. Can we expect an update by late summer or early fall?

We do not have a timeframe. It is one of the most requested items for the Android OS, so it is high on our priority list of changes for that device.

On iOS, there are actually two separate versions... the iPhone version and the iPad version. The Android version was modeled after the iPhone version since the number of tablets at the time it was released was very small compared to the number of Android phone devices. This is still the case. We do know the number is growing, and we do intend to add more support for larger Android devices in the future.

Spend more time on the iOs version. Eventually the android owners will be buying iPads anyway.

I understand you don't have a specific timescale for the Android tablet optimised version. But I'm just shopping for a tablet now, pondering iPad v Android. If I bought an Android tablet in the hope you might have the tablet version done by next spring, would that be a reasonable hope ? Any clues welcomed...! Thanks, Chris

Yes, we do intend to have the tablet optimized version of iScore Baseball for Android done for next spring season.

Uhmmm... Camerabry, this is one Android owner that will not switch to an iPad. I like Android because it gives me choices. Unlike you I dont believe there is one solution in the tablet world. iOs gets the vast majority of development time right now as it should having the largest market of tablets currently. This too shall pass though.

Sometimes Android developers need a nudge...
