Seperating Varsity & JV Stats

Post by mtcook » Wed Apr 20, 2011 2:25 pm

I have scored a total of 35 games (both Varsity & JV) so far in our high school season. Some players play both JV & Varsity so I never have distinguished between the two as far as the team goes. How could I go back and seperate Varsity & JV stats for each player. Our coach really only wants to see Varsity stats and I don't want to artificially inflate a Varsity players stats if he happened to play in a JV game or two. Any ideas? I thought about using Leagues, but most of my teams rosters are entered combined JV & Varsity.

Thanks,

You can separate the games by leagues. Go to league manager and create a league for Varsity and another for JV. Then go to each game and assign the appropriate league. When you want to show the coach varsity only then go to league manager, uncheck JV and all. This should only populate the varsity stats.

If you have an iScore team website you can assign both leagues to the team, in settings you can make the Varsity league the default. When you go to stats on the website you will see the varsity stats, however there is a drop down menu that you will see JV league that you can see just JV stats and an All league where you can see combined Varsity and JV.

Below is a FAQ sticky that OhioTex has a good league primer.

Sounds like this will work. I wasn't aware that you could assign individual games to a specific league. Thanks for the response!!

You can assign multiple leagues to a game to further evaluate stats. I.E. In addition to the varsity league you could have DH 4/21/11 for a double header. This would show as a league in your website drop down showing stats for only the two games. Just make sure you assign all the leagues to the team before export.
