Replacing a Pitcher Mid Game

Post by wcrapps » Mon May 23, 2011 5:43 pm

I typically start a game with just the starters. Was scoring a game today, and the pitcher got hurt midway. I could not figure out how to replace the pitcher. Note, I backed out and added the extra player to the team. Went back into scoring the game, and tried to substitute for the pitcher, but his name was not available.

I'd appreciate your help.

The goal is to have all the players on the lineup for the game even if they are not starters. Just set all the others to Batting = NO and Position = Out. If you have a player that arrives late, or you did not have them in the lineup for whatever reason, you press Misc -> Show Starting Lineup, and you can add the player to the lineup in the middle of the game. When doing this, setting Batting = NO for the player, then go back to the scoring screen and do a substitution to put the player in the game (do not set their defensive position and batting position on the lineup screen or it will think they started the game.)

remember adding player to a team does not add them to a past or current game line up.

when you create a new game, it will pull the line up from the current team roster, but once that is done, they are now independent, you can add and delete to each independently.
