recently switched to an Ipad 2 and it takes about 10 to 15 percent more power to get through a game any idea why.

It would not be the application as the application is the same between the devices, but our best guess is the Brightness setting. The screen display uses more power than anything else on these devices. If you turn down the brightness in the Settings app, it will likely help more than anything else you can do.

(Unless you did not have 3G before and have 3G on your new device... that would account for a difference as well).

I have had the opposite results. My ipad2 battery life is much better than the iPad. Currently can score a game using 15-20% battery life. On my iPad it was 25-30% per game.
