Inactive Players still showing up on team website

I updated my son's school team this year and made last year's seniors "inactive". However on my team's website, those inactive players are still showing up, even though those players are not active in the new league I set up for this season. Is there any way to get rid of them, aside from deleting them altogether? (It would be nice to keep their stats from last year so I can compare year to year, so I really didn't want to have to delete them.)

I was hoping with having this new "inactive" feature it would mean just that. I wish there were some way of deleting the players off the current roster without losing the previous year's stats.

on your team site - under settings -> options -> show players -> change to active.
