My.iscorecentral

Post by Bmac151 » Wed Apr 25, 2012 3:21 pm

What is the purpose of the free admin website at my.iscorecental.com? I noticed that after I created an account today at that site, all of my data was already on there and I never knew I had sent anything there. Is it a website to back up data stored on my iPad in case it crashesvorvdies and how did that data get there?

Backups are done on the FTM servers when you data->export. This also populates this website and the optional team website if you have one.

Free admin site provides a way to add teams, players, and batch upload rosters and stats. You can then import them back into your device.

The admin website gives you a way of editing data online (e.g. bulk roster inputting) and a few supplemental reports not available on the device (Play by Play listing, a different Box Score, Team Hit Charts), as well as a way to centrally manage your add ons.

The data is updated whenever you do an Options -> Export from iScore.

So did I maybe accidentally export my data or is there an auto export setting then? When I created my account on the admin site all my data was already there

This app is great. It's my first year usin it and I can't tell you how many other catches come over and get iscore envy when they see this app, especially on an iPad.

When you create the Admin Website, it does the first export for you.

Export often (like after every game). Good habit to make it part of your scoring workflow.
