In little league, some leagues require players to play a minimum amount of innings. Additonally, as coaches, we all have parents that complain their child doesn't play enough. It is possible to track "innings played" by a player and where they played during that time?

If you look at the scorecard it shows position and inning next to each player's name. A '-' means they are sitting. A new line is only added when something changes so if a player has only one line then they played that position the whole game. If there are two lines, say 2 1 and 7 4 it means they played catcher the first 3 innings and then left field from the 4th inning on. Addition lines would mean additional changes.

if you have not yet read the scorebook legend, I highly recomend it for excellent insight to the scorbook notations.

FTM - i thought it was covered in the legend, but just went and looked and did not see any inclusion on the player position notions "-".... idea for future revisions..
