A couple problems I had with this. Maybe there is a solution out there for this already...

When I export the game, it exports the coaches that are listed on my NGIN team site as players into iscore.

In addition, it created duplicate players on my iscore device. If I export 3 games, it creates 3 copies of each player on my device that I then have to merge together. I already had the players created on my device before I tried to export. I would assume that it would see the player exists in my database on the device and merge them automatically.

If you already have a team/player on your device before doing the Discover Team/Discover Game, yes, a new version of that player will be created using Sport Ngin's internal IDs when you Discover. It will not automatically merge them because iScore has no way of knowing if the players are truly the same.

If you are having an issue where every time you import from Sport Ngin it is creating a duplicate of the player, it sounds like you are not running the newest version of iScore. Be sure you do an Update. The early release prior to 4.03 had this issue, but it was only available for a very short period before an update was released.

If you do an Options -> Export, and email your customer ID to support@iscoresports.com, we can take a look at this.

We are not sure what would cause a coach to be a player, but if you can do the export, we would like to look at that as well.

fyi.. we see from another one of your posts that you are running v4.00... that is quite old. You should update to the newest android version which is 4.09 at this point.

Will do. Do you know if after I export a game and merge the players, will the iscore database recognize it is the same player at that point?

Using merge to combine the players will make iScore recognize them as the same. Be sure to select the player that came from Sport Ngin in the "left list" when doing the player merge as that is the player that gets "merged into". You can rename one player or the other before doing the merge to be sure you select the correct one in the left list. If you don't select the correct one, then the next import from Sport Ngin will create a new version of the player again, and you can merge again. Just be sure to update to the newest version of iScore.

Also, if you can do the Export and email us, we can fix the duplicates that occurred from the multiple importing of the same team from Sport Ngin.

I will do an export and send it your way.

One other question I have for you. I scored two games that were not exports from my NGIN site this past weekend and would like to upload them back into the NGIN site. Is there a way to do this? Maybe you export the game from NGIN and then merge them somehow?

You would have to contact your Sport Ngin rep about how you could possibly get those games back into Sport Ngin. We don't know the answer. You may want to post it in the Sport Ngin section of this forum:
