I have been using I score for HS baseball and this is my 3rd season using it. Last spring I used the maxpreps for adding rosters for our opponents when available.

Now this year, when I want to add a new roster from maxpreps I get the following message when I try to import if I had already discovered this team the prior year. "This team already exists on your device as "Team 2013". Would you like to check for updates to this team?" (note i name my teams by year so last year was Team 2013 and this year would be Team 2014). If I hit yes the prior year team updates in my case Team 2013. This roster would then have players from both years.

Why would a new roster not be created because in HS baseball the players and numbers change every year?

Any work around for this?

It is because MaxPreps uses the same IDs for teams from year to year. You can make last years players inactive so only this years players will be included in the lineups.

How do you make a player inactive?

In team roster, drag player down to bottom section.

Or tap the player in the lineup (close keyboard that is up on Android) and there is an active / inactive selector at the bottom.
