Accurate pitch counts and ball strike ratios are a big deal to our coaches. I would love an enhancement where I could go back after the fact and add, remove or change a pitch so long as it does not impact the next batter. I spend a lot of time RE entering info to correct this very basic information.
Thanks for all that you do to make this one of the most useful apps for my world!!
add, remove or change a pitch - after the fact
Re: add, remove or change a pitch - after the fact
Currently the software does let you edit strike swinging to strike looking in pitch-by-pitch editor or ball to intentional ball, but b/c of the interdependencies of strikes and balls for a given at bat, I doubt developers would introduce the ability to change balls to strikes after the fact or add in or delete missed pitches.
That said, Are you aware you can manually override stats after the fact in current version?
(How? - by going to Game Manager, selecting the game, selecting Pitching Stats for the right team, then changing the strokes and balls for the pitcher to reflect what you want them to be.)
I know that is different than editing in pitch-by-pitch after the fact, but it sounds like it may suit your needs.
I also think the best solution is to get it right real time, and an attentive scorer can monitor the umpire and use the existing undo feature in the software to keep as accurate count of balls and strikes as anyone i would expect.

I, too, would like this option. There are MANY times that I "think" I enter a pitch and realize, a couple of pitches later, that the pitch didn't 'Take". Usually due to me not hitting button solidly, i guess. It is annoying. i find myself ALWAYS taking a second look to verify if it recorded. It is not a software issue, but a touch screen or human issue.
I don't have the best circulation in my fingertips, therefore the iPhone doesn't always sense me touching the screen.... I guess.

We display big text flying across the screen when Ball/Strike/Foul are pressed as feedback. You can also turn on the "Audio" so that Balls and Strikes are actually called out when the buttons are pressed. The other buttons bring up interactive screens, so you would also know those have been accepted by the system.
Is there something more that can be done to help you know a pitch has been registered with the system? We would rather spend time making sure the data is captured right while scoring than spending time on editing after the fact. We have work arounds as noted above for editing stats post game, but if we can make it easier to capture the data live, that will also give users watching iScorecasts a better sense of what is going on in the game.
