Player Stats from Team Stats View

Post by degrucca » Mon Apr 11, 2011 10:52 am

Playing around with the app this past weekend and found that it would be great when viewing a teams cumulative stats, to be able to click on a players name and get their Play Card info. Simiply making the players name a quick link to the Player Card, with a close option to go back where you started. It would also be great to make the AVG a hotlink to player card info as well, since this is a break down of the game information that makes up the cumulative AVG. It's nice to be able to jump over and remember how a player played in a particular game(s).

Nice suggestion, thank you.

Just as an fyi... the optional team websites do have this type of drill-down capability.

But you can't print or email those individual stats from the team website, can you?

It is frustrating to have disjoint functionality between the device and the website. You can create and email the player card from the device but you don't have control over what leagues to include the stats. You can look at the stats for an individual on the website and filter it by league but you can't print or email them plus you can't get the hit locations and the stats in a single page like you can from the device.

Both of our teams want to hand out individual stats but not make the website with the entire team available to the players. If you could email/print the player card from the website (filtered by leagues, of course) it would be VERY helpful. You have all of the pieces already there - they just need to be put together.

Thanks!

Actually, you have full control of the leagues to show in the player card and thus email. Start in leagues and uncheck the all league and check as many leagues that may apply to your team/player. Go to player manager, tap player, tap leagues. Here you should have all the leagues, except all, to chose to apply to your player, uncheck any that you don't want included. Tap player info, tap player card, tap stats and presto you have your report to email.

Dan's point is spot on the player card league filtering ( I will add, if you have a photo of the kid, it shows up on the player card emails automatically, well formatted too)

Of course you can print from the web site, but like any web site it can be a format challenge.. Especailly if you have a lot of stat columns. One thing FTM has done, is create the web site so you can easily highlight copy and paste tables and data into other programs for manipulation, very cleanly into excel or word tables for example..

Depending on my needs, i find their differences complimentary..
