Recording Double Plays

Post by bbroeker » Wed May 18, 2011 7:37 pm

I like the quick choices that are available for double plays, but unfortunately, the play does not always fit one of those options. In those moments, I have to sort of trick the system to do what I want for fielding stats purposes, OR I have the option to simply select DOUBLE PLAY which doesn't record the fielding stats for anyone. I wish when I hit DOUBLE PLAY it would ask me to put it in like 6-6-3 for an unassisted by short and then a 6-3 for the second out OR 5-6-3 or some other combo that would give the middle guy the assist and the out.

What is your tap sequence?
I would suggest

Out
Ground out
Locate
6-6-3
What happened to runner on first, out, double play

If I do this though, I am not sure that it is giving the short stop both an out and an assist? Or is it assigning two assists? I need to enter it that way once and check the stats. I thought I had checked it once and it wasn't working. the away I wanted it to...at least not on the printout of the scorebook at the end....I will double check though.

we have been around the block more than a few times over the past year on double plays..

Overall iscore does a great job with assigning put outs and assists and organizing the score book.
