Rain Delay in iScorecast

Post by PPPadre » Sat Jun 22, 2013 11:21 am

Thank you so much for the "Rain Delay" button under options. It has been quite handy.

One request to enhance this feature: can you make the "Rain Delay" an event that will post to iScorecast and that will automatically Tweet (like the end of an inning)? And maybe have the resumption of play something that will automatically Tweet as well.

We have had a couple of games that have been delayed by weather. I pushed the rain delay button, but nothing appeared on the iScorecast. We had several watching online, and at first they thought it was their computer lagging (sometimes with the cellular data, the events do not update for a time, then several come all at once). But after a while, they "blew up" my phone with text messages, asking why there were no updates. It wasn't raining where they were, so they didn't even think about a rain delay.

Thanks for all that you do and for your responsiveness to requests.

You can enter a note and the note will be seen in the iScorecast.

OK. I will try that next time.

Actually just tried it with the game that was delayed earlier today (undid the end of the game) and everything worked fine. That just seems weird to me that something that shows up in the play-by-play box on my display would not show up in the play-by-play of iScorecast, but a note that I attach to that "invisible" play does show up. Never would have guessed that. So yeah, the next time we have a rain delay I will write a note.

Thanks for the suggestion.
