Hi,
I've been using Iscore for the ipad for the last month or so and am very happy with it. I have some suggestions that I think would improve the app:
1. A quick button for not inputting the pitch speed. If I'm putting the speed in on every pitch and then the radar doesn't pick up one, I have to scroll all the way up to no speed, enter the pitch, and then scroll all the way back down for the next pitch. A quick "no speed" button would be helpful.
2. Batter and pitcher season totals on the scoring screen. It would be neat if under the current batter name it would show their average, and likewise the pitchers ERA. I know those are accessible in the lineup screen, but it'd be more convenient to see right there.
3. A "favorites" list for sending out the live scoring link. Rather than having to type in 5 different emails each game, it'd be handy to have the list of the most recently used emails to select (or even be able to send to all at once). I know I could email myself the link and then use a group to email them all at once, but I'd like to do it all from the app.
4. In the scoring screen when I go to the scorecard, it'd be really cool if I could click on an at-bat and see the pitches for that at-bat (if I'm tracking pitch locations). That way if somebody comes up who hit a HR in their previous at-bat I could see how I pitched them. I know I can scroll to that inning and see each pitch in the pitch by pitch part of the screen, but I think this would be more streamlined.
Team Stat screen:
5. For batters the looking and swinging strikeouts are available separately, but I don't believe that is an option for pitcher stats. It'd be nice to see pitcher strikeout swinging vs strikeout looking.
6. The ability for custom stats. What I mean is I will load the excel sheet the stats make and then divide two columns by each other (pitches seen by plate appearances to see pitches per plate appearance for the batters), but maybe we could have the option to add new "stats" in the app. It could be limited to manipulating current stats of course.
7. Batters at bats/hits with 2 strikes. Currently we can see the number of at bats and hits for the batters with RISP, but for me personally I'd like to see the exact same thing for 2 strikes.
8. Pitchers BAA for righties and lefties. Just two more handy stats that would be nice to see in the team stat screen.
Love the app and thanks for the good work.

Re: Feature Ideas
1. Will add suggestion to enhancement list
2. Do not understand how displaying season totals during the game would help with scoring the game? We show the season totals on the scorecasts so viewers can see them, but it does not seem it would help a scorekeeper perform their job
3. If you are using iOS, you can set up a Contact that includes all the email addresses you want as "favorites" and then just select that contact. We will be adding this to Android devices in the future as well
4. Will add suggestion to enhancement list
5. We have pitcher strikes looking and strikes swinging, but not strikeouts looking and swinging. We will add this to our list.
6. When you open the Excel spreadsheet, you can create any calculated fields you want in the Excel spreadsheet.
7. This information is available with the TruMedia Analytics add on

Re: Feature Ideas
1. Thanks
2. You're right it doesn't add any, just as a scorer sometimes I'd like to see it. But like you say it's not necessary in the scoring screen.
3. Ok I will do that, thanks.
4. Thanks
5. Thanks
6. Yep that's probably the easiest.
7/8. Yeah I get them through the true media, but if I want to create a spreadsheet with each players BA with 2 strikes for example, I have to go to each players page and type in the numbers. There is no way to see everyone's stats at once (that I know of). Through Iscore, I really like the team stats page that has all of them listed there.
2 more ideas that I would like:
9. I know it's been discussed in the past, but something with the pitch speed, even as basic as max and average pitch speed for each player.
10. For each pitch type there is #of pitches, #of strikes, and strike percentage. I would like to see swinging strikes added so I can get a swing and miss percentage for the different pitch types.
Thanks for the reply.

Re: Feature Ideas
welcome to the community and great to get more suggestions..
the developers really take them into consideration when making updates.
As i was reading, i was curious what level ball you are scoring?

Re: Feature Ideas
Thanks for the welcome. I am working for a D1 college team as a student and we are working to use stats/sabermetrics to help with player evaluations and progression. Every year they have kept the basic stats but not done much with them so I'm helping in looking at more advanced stats to help get a better picture of the players.
The developers really do seem to respond to suggestions which is great to see.
One last question. I haven't looked much into it, but maybe someone knows off the top of their head: Is there a way to export the pitch by pitch/play by play of a game where I could then write my own code to look at some stuff. I doubt it, but if it saved pitch type, speed, result, score, etc. into text files somewhere that I could export, I could write some code to get some of the stats that aren't currently available.
Thanks again.

Re: Feature Ideas
If you have some experience with XML, we have a Team Website API available - http://api.iscorecentral.com/teamwebsiteapi.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
You need to have an iScore team website to use it, but one of the undocumented calls is to get the Pitch by Pitch detail of a game, and it gives every detail of the game.
Search the forums for "gamedetail.php" for more information.

Re: Feature Ideas
for a D1 school.. I would look into http://www.edgehq.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; in addition to the iScore API
both EdgeHQ Analytics and TruMedia can be very powerful combinations with iScore
