Scorecast suggestions
Scorecast suggestions
Couple suggestions for iscorecast.
1) When a viewer is watching a game via iscorecast, ask them to enter their name when they connect to view the game. Then show this name in the iscorecast window on the scoring device. I'm always curious exactly who is watching while I'm scoring.
2) Real-time audio feed for iscorecast. What I mean by this is have the app support a microphone input so the scorekeeper can wear a mic or headset and provide one-way radio-style play-by-play to any iscorecast viewers (listeners.)

Re: Scorecast suggestions
Thank you for the suggestions. On the microphone one, you can always use notes which are displayed in the iScorecast to add commentary if you would like.

Re: Scorecast suggestions
Not sure I would rank theses ideas on priority list but both creative . Do not recall hearing before. Like the idea of name entry . A log of who viewed over microphone because I know I would be a poor audio 'broadcaster' , but as a viewer it would be cool
On the topic of iscorecast ,
I still advocate the idea of being able to set if you are a fan of home or away ---so the audio that is there aligns with your team cheers or jeers . It stinks to be routing for the defense and the crowed cheers a home run

Re: Scorecast suggestions
I try to use notes as much as I can, but as you know it is often difficult to keep up when a lot is going on in the game. Now if you want to implement speech recognition, that could type the notes for me!
At some point I'm going to try something like this, maybe with Skype and see how it goes.

Speech recognition is actually built in. When the keyboard pops up for a note, tap the microphone, and you can speak your note and it will convert it to text for you.

Re: Scorecast suggestions
It would be nice to see a ball being pitched, whether accurate location or not, just a typical ball and typical strike. More important than that would be to see where the ball was hit and then the play. A zoom out after a ball is hit to show about where it went and what positions handled it and seeing who's on what bases then back to batter view. Does that type of scorecast viewing already exist and I am just missing it, or am I wanting to much? I'm trying to compete with the other scorekeeping apps and trying to convince those who use them to convert however I know they like the fact that they can see more of a total play watching the others live. Iscores graphics are definitely better. I'm just missing the view of the play and get sidetracked having to read the play rather than watch it. It doesn't have to be perfect either.
Thanks. Maybe it's already there, if so can you tell me how I can have fans view it that way? I greatly appreciate it.

Re: Scorecast suggestions
Ignore me on ball placement. I just noticed its on the side of the screen yet I don't see what happened to the ball after it was hit. I might be missing that view, too? Still getting use to the program. Even if it lit up each position that handled the ball and lit up the base where someone was out or safe would be cool to give a better visual. Again, I probably just can't find that feature. Thanks.

Re: Scorecast suggestions
you are not missing anything. iscorecast is not as advanced as MLB ,Mamatasker wrote:I. Does that type of scorecast viewing already exist and I am just missing it, or am I wanting to much? I have not found better APP based score keeping tool and viewer value than iscorecast.

Re: Scorecast suggestions
I also would love to see WHO is viewing the game via a ScoreCast. Something as simple as just supplying a name. The girls (12U) get excited when I tell them somebody is watching.
