Removing a player from an all players batting lineup

Post by samdenno » Fri Sep 12, 2014 10:14 am

I have a team where we have the "all players bat", but something may happen during the game (usually an injury) that means a player has to leave the game. Problem is, there is no way way to remove the play from the lineup without putting somebody in his place. Shouldn't we be able to remove players from the line up and just have the line up close up around the empty space?

Removing a player from the lineup would be saying the player did not play in the game at all. You should use Misc -> Skip Batter when the player would normally be at bat. iScore will then ask if an out should be recorded (depends on your local rules) for the batter being skipped.

:) Thanks, I just kept overlooking that in the Misc pop-up somehow. Still it would be nice to be able to just skip him for the rest of the game. The rules for our league state that even if the player comes back in to play the field, if we skip his spot in the line-up, he can't bat the rest of the game.

Misc > skip batter works well for your situation

Local rules vary on how to treat the skip
( out or not, 1 time or rest of game).
Iscore handles amd will prompt you each time slot comes around .
