1. Everything references baseball - forum, iScore scoreboard, man on base, app home page, icon, stats email, etc. You need a softball version or make it more generic. If you have a teenage softball player you will understand. In her words you guys don't care about softball... ;)

I have been using another scoring software for a few years. I have been eagerly waiting for an iPhone app that I could replace it with. I am glad there is someone finally doing this. Here are a few things that we can do today and would be missed -
1. post game edit - there are times you have to do it. The other software handles it smoothly.
2. Instead of a pitch by pitch for easy edits, it would be easier to see an inning review screen. Example - Top of 1 - On the left is the batter/player and on the right is what they did. You tap on the player to get more details such as balls, strikes, etc. There you can edit. If you are in a hurry, the pitch by pitch can get lengthy. To get to bottom of 1 you either swipe the screen or click an arrow next to Top of 1.
3. Short cuts on the screen for common offensive and defensive plays - Example for single, double, Fielded, Fly, etc. Especially on the Ipad.
4. A way to delete the games from the Iphone, however, they stay on the Admin web or on a pc/mac application. So, I can append and have a complete backup on the Admin web/pc application. If I want to delete them from the Admin Web I have a delete choice. If I want to import them I have an import choice. Essentially, if I just want them there as a backup and not import them then I have that option. If there is a way I can delete the games on my iphone and backup my season as it goes along, I apologize for missing it. Today, i can backup everthing to a PC, open it up in the app and can easily be restored, modified, viewed, etc. For example, I had to go back to 2008 & 2099 and resend the season stats each year. I reloaded each season and pulled the stats easily. I don't see a way to do this in iScore unless I have all that on my iphone.
5. email/export html file
6. Stats - A way to show how you did for that game and combine the opponents total. So, i have my team stats individually, team total, then opponent total on the same page. With a quick glance I can see how we did against the opponent. Also, cumulative - how you are doing for the season individually, team total, then opponent total. I might not be explaining myself to well.. I can email you some stats/reports that we currently use if that would help.

If you can do any of these things and I missed it... I blame my daughter for distracting me... :D

Going in reverse order:

#6 - We do complete stats, and include a combined stats report post game. Just go to Game Manager, touch the game in question, then touch Email. This will allow you to send all stats for the game, and you can choose Home | Visitor | Both. For cumulative stats, just go to Team Manager, Stats, and email from there. This will send you cumulative stats.

#5 - Same answer as #6.

#4 - Why delete the data from the iPhone? Hiding old data is perfect for Leagues. Just create a League called "Fall 2009", "Spring 2010", "Fall 2010", etc... and assign the games to those leagues. You can turn them on or off through League Manager, and now you will only see the data from those leagues. Seems even easier than the export/import option, and has the added advantage that you could still do a "Lifetime cumulative statistics" if you want.

#3 - For singles, doubles, etc it would only save one click to have a "shortcut". We do have a shortcut for the most common outs (would require multiple clicks otherwise). Just slide your finger up across the "out" button, and you will several "quick plays" for potential outs available (ground outs for nobody on, adds double plays if someone is on base).

#2 - Thank you for the suggestions. We will continue to enhance our game editing abilities.

#1 - We handle the most common changes (error changed to base hit and vice versa, missed substitutions, etc) easily through the pitch by pitch view right now.

Our developers actually do have have kids that play softball as well (including a teenage girl). The downside of releasing a separate version is that families that have both boys and girls playing would have to buy two separate applications. We chose to combine them into a single application so that people would not have to buy two. We also chose to only refer to baseball for the simplicity of the name. It would be an awkward read if everywhere we referenced baseball also referenced softball ... "iScore Baseball and Softball Scorekeeper" is quite a mouthful. You will notice we have all the special options required for softball however... things like 10 fielder support (younger softball), international tie breaker, DP/Flex, etc.

Thank you for your feedback.

I do not see a single report that shows either for game or season -

Player - stats
Team Total - stats
Opponenet Total - stats

I see individual spreadsheets that has the info where I could cut and paste, I was requesting have that done in 1 report.

I do not see an attached htm or html file. Just xls and csv

I was just making a suggestion. When things get crazy, one less click is important. Especially when the Iphone doesn't respond instantly. Especially for the ipad where space is not an issue.

Also, when you pick "in play" is there a way to make grounder default?

Thanks again for making an Iphone application. I realize the other software I am using is on version 14 and you guys are adding features as fast as you can. :)
