Shortcut Key sequence for Unassisted 6-3 Double Play

Maybe I'm missing something here but I could not find a very common double play sequence, that being the unassisted double play by the short stop, 6-3 Double play (stepped on 2nd base for the force then threw to 1st). Also noticed that there is no option for 4-3 unassisted double play (second baseman stepped on 2nd base for the force and then threw to 1st for the double play).

Now that I look at it there is no options for unassisted double plays by 3rd, SS or 2nd. All three of these players can have an unassisted out at their base and then throw to 1st for a double play, only the 3rd baseman can have a unassisted out double play to 3rd then 2nd base.

Would like to see these as options on the "out" shortcut menu.

Not really sure why the "ground out" options exist on this shortcut menu.

What makes a double play a double play is by hitting DOUBLE PLAY on the runner that got doubled up on. If it's an unassisted double play, just do the shortcut as normal, then when it asks what happened to the runner, press double play to double him off. I've tested it and it works.

6-3 says that only two people touched the ball. The shortstop and the first baseman. So, I ask, what's the difference between 6-3 (1 out) and 6-3 (Double play)? Nothing! 6-3 is the same in both instances.

We will add these additional double plays to an upcoming release.

We added the ground out options because some people believe entering ground outs is too difficult with the traditional method. For example see viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1337" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

FTM, just to clarify, is my my post above correct? 6U-3 double play requires the same keystrokes as a 6-3 out, as well as 4U-3 and so forth?

That is correct... same key sequence. Just be sure to enter Double Play on the last out of the double play so the players involved are credited with the Double Play in their fielding statistics.

Ok, As an example:

Runner on First, no outs. Double play by second baseman.

1st sequence (as suggested by Bryan):
1. swipe the out button to display shortcut keystrokes
2. Chose 4-3 ground out
3. select location of hit
4. select out
5. select 2nd as the base
6. select double play

Had the play actually been an assisted double play by SS then the following would be the key sequence.

2nd sequence
1. swipe the out button to display shortcut keystrokes
2. 4-6-3 Double Play
3. select location of hit

Fewer selections in the second sequence which is the value behind the shortcut options. My assumption is that unassisted double play by the second baseman or shortstop would be similar to the second sequence above (463 doubleplay).

FTM glad you will be adding this to a future release.

What about, instead of adding a whole new list of shortcut buttons, why not a prompt?

1. swipe the out button
2. 4-3 Ground out
3. PROMPT: "Was this a double play?" Press yes/no
4. Select hit location.

One more press, but less shortcuts to add?
