Must Have Priority for Alternate Scorecard Format

FTM has indicated that alternate scorecard formats are NOT high on their priority list. In fact they consider it a low priority.

Please add your name to this list if you are interested in alternate scorecard formatting. Lets see if we can get some momentum for FTM to increase the priority of this particular feature. For additional information please see viewtopic.php?f=4&t=483" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Reply to this thread if you want to make this a Must Have priority.

I am in support of a more advanced scorecard 'option' as was discussed, in the prior forum. though i am not an expert on it.

I do undertsand the support for priortizing the multiple users over alternate format however, I have seen lots of traffic on it, and understand also the resources FTM must have put behind iPad to be ready on day one of its realse. personally higher on my list is the ability to email out what is currently collected, pitch by pitch and/or play by play and the between inning summary screens. I suspect another high priority item for many is the ability to do more post game editing .

. the one thing i do still beleive is this app rocks. .Thanks to the community and FTM./

Danmcc = No

The current iScore scorecard closely matches the score book kept in our team dugout.

Dan, this request is NOT for the removal of the current scorecard format. It is a request to "ADD" additional output formats. Why would you be opposed to additional output formats?

Brent,
The issue at hand is priority. If there are more formats that is fine, but I am satisfied with the current format since is most closely resembles what I am used to. Therefore the new formats are not a priority for me.

As the scorecard format is important to you, other things are more important to me. Such as the ability to make player notes on the back of a player card so I can make notes for when an opposing player is a bat. I would like to note if a particular player chases high pitches when he is behind in the count, etc. I requested it awhile ago but it has not bubbled up to priority which is fine, I'll wait my turn.

I for one have been ecstatic that the FTM has been so responsive to the many requests made by the board members, but there is a long list and somehow a priority has to be made. I'll defer to their best judgment.

I am fine with the current scorecard format, so my vote is "No". (Not sure if this is what you wanted to hear?)

dtkreutz would also say "Low Priority" to other scorecards. As danmcc has said, I think it would be nice to have, and would love to have other users needs met and expand the iscore community, but for me it is not a priority.
Home/away graphics color shifts and more game info (field conditions, game location) are more important to me.

And, actually, I'd put all the enhancement requests on hold for 2 weeks if it allowed the User Manual, Training Videos, and Practice score examples to be updated. Having the first 2 videos still on version 1 is painful for newcomers, and with a new season and a new device here, I'd like to see the support site brought up to speed. This forum is invaluable, but so many newcomer's questions could be answered with some new documentation.

So far, people seem to be re-confirming what we have found the priority to be.

fyi dtkreteutz - more Game Info will be available for the next release - we have added several new fields that can be entered. We will also be updating training materials as soon as time allows - especially for the iPad version.

I got to use the app for the first time this weekend. I printed out the scoresheet, and I feel more comfortable commenting. Using the situational scoring, my gripes are:

1. The pitch-by-pitch sequence is much clearer using Reisner's scoresheet. He has two columns at the right-hand side of each box. The first column is for balls and the second column is for strikes. Closed circle is swinging strike, Open circle is looking strike, Circle around closed circle is wild pitch. X means the ball was hit. Dash is a foul. It gives you a nice visual of the pitching sequence.

2. The Single, Double, Triple, Walk indication is on the 1st base line. Kind of hidden. It would be nice to have something more visible to quickly spot the hits, walks, etc.

Other than that, the scoresheet is nice. Wish there was room for hole punches on the left hand side, but I know the paper real estate is limited.
