Acces to IPhone's Camera

Not sure if this has been requested or brought up before, and I don't even know if IPhone will support it, but would it be possible to get easy access to the Camera and then quickly return to the game I'm scoring w/in IScore? Here's the Use Case: I'm scoring a game and my sons comes up to bat. I would like to snap a quick photo or shoot a short movie, then be able to go quickly get back to IScore if the ball is put in play, or a base runner is picked off, etc.

We plan to add picture taking capabilities directly from within iScore in a future version. For now, you would have to exit out of the app, and go back in. When you go back in, you would select the game, and click Play, and will take you right back to where you were. We also plan to add a "resume scoring" button on the main menu that will take you right back to where you were when you exited out of the application (either because of a phone call, or by manually pressing the "home" button on the phone).

Thanks for the feedback and hearing the suggestion. The future enhancement of having a "resume scoring" button right on the front page of IScore is a great idea. IScore is a great app. Thanks again.

It is most likely going to replace the "Score a Game" button which is actually functionality left behind from before you could create new games from the Game Manager screen. But we will see...

I almost said that, would rather have that in place of "Score a Game". b/c i no longer use "score a game", i always enter from game manager, new existing or past game. but did not want to presume that of others.

I agree with OhioTex. I'd even forgotten that the "score a game" button was even there. It does seem redundant at this point.

It has only remained so that we don't get the question "why can't I score a game any more"... and believe us, it will happen. We now have the "release notes / news" functionality, so have a good way to announce when it happens, and our guess is that a good percentage of people go through Game Manager anyway. We just don't like to make changes that take people by surprise, so have been waiting until we have a good reason to remove it.

I wondered also about the redundancy of "Score a Game" - Question answered!
And put me down +1 for "Resume Scoring". I've wanted that for a while, but figured you have enough on your plate.
and as an aside, while I'm glad you have some sponsorship in ESPN, I hope you don't take iScore off in a direction of complexity/feature-itis.
I love this basic scoring app, and I'd hate it if it got cluttered or confusing with many more "Features". For me, this replaces my score pad at the game, not my cable subscription to the sports channel.
Thanks

We hear you on the "feature-itis". We still control product direction, and the most exciting thing to us about the partnership is the access we have to ESPN's resources, and the integration that will be possible in the future. It will all be done in a way that will not interfere with people's scoring that don't want the features, but things like getting rosters for even local teams from an online source will be possible, posting final scores up to ScoreCenter, etc. There are some long term plans that we are very excited about.
