Any update on Adult Slowpitch requests

Just talked to the vice-president of MLS in Southern California yesterday about your app. He is aware of it but wonders why it still does not accomidate some of the basic rule variations of adult leagues. I didn't have an answer for him. I came on here to find out if they've moved up the priority list at all. They are, in order of priority:

1) A and B lineup for men and women switching in coed. No need for a scorebook and it could be disabled with this option. Just something to make it easy to use.

2) an option for a two base walk on a no strike walk, or just a two base walk. Currently I have been scoring it a walk with the runner advancing but this negates some RBIs.

3) the Option for every batter to begin with a 1-1 count.

These would open up iScore to a large and growing market of adult coed softball players. I guess I just wonder I'd these are still years away?

Thank you for following up with these requests again. It is still not at the top of the priority list as we get very very few requests for this functionality. We are constantly updating our priorities however, and if more people start asking for support for these rules, or we finish the things that are requested more often, then these requests will move up the list.

I would also love to see the option to start with a 1 - 1 count. It would speed up scoring and keep the pitching stats accurate.

We have the request on our list, and continually re-evaluate priorities based on requests. We hear this one every once in a while, but still some things we are addressing that we are hearing more often. We are getting through them as quickly as we can, and hopefully this one will make it to the top of the list soon. Thank you.

Put my name on the I'd like to see it list. I've talked up the product to everyone in my league but they've asked the same questions.

I am also in a slow pitch softball league and we also start with a 1-1 count. I would like to see this feature added before the season starts at the end of April.

Also for softball option, if we could setup what the default fielders will be for all games, ex. L, LC, RC, R

Also I might be missing something, but I dont see the substitutions menu.

Thanks,

You can set up the default fielders for all games already. Just set the positions in your Roster, and it becomes the default for any games you create for that team.

For substitutions, just tap the player in the field that you want to substitute for, and a popup will appear that allows you to do substitutions.

One other request I would like to make that wouldn't take much time to program, but I think would help so much to speed up scoring in Adult Slowpitch games, is the ability to just mark where the baserunners are at the end of the play in one screen. Right now, you have to go thru many, many screens when there are a lot of baserunners and a play occurs. There simply isn't time in most slow pitch softball games to spend going thru all those screens. Sometimes there is only 15 seconds between the time a play is over, and the pitch to the next batter is delivered. The emphasis in many leagues these days, (contrary to MLB!), is to keep the game going very fast because you are usually only allowed an hour or less for one game and there are several games after yours. So the umpires do not allow time to enter your data between batters or even between innings! They don't even allow the infielders practice time between innings. So I suggest the following, which would be easy to implement with a simple setting that is either on, for most softball games like this, or off for everything else. When the switch is on, iScore would not worry during the game about which baserunner scored, or was put out on the bases. After the play for the batter was entered and any outs recorded, the only other screen would simply ask where are the baserunners at the end of the play. From the info entered about what the batter did and if any outs were recorded, iScore (or any program) can then logically deduce how many runs scored on the play. The scorekeeper could go back after the game, figure out from each situation which players scored, and you still have the runs scored and RBI stats correct. If you really want to keep the opposing team's fielding stats, you could add one more screen for that, but I don't think most teams/leagues, except for those who are the most serious, would be interested in that. Put in another setting to turn off or on if you really wanted that. This idea would vastly speed up score keeping and is the way I keep score manually. I would like to see an option to allow the average softball scorekeeper to do the same thing with iScore.

I would really like to see the a feature that accommodates for men receiving 2 bases when walked during coed games. Right now, our workaround is to record the walk, and then record the additional base and any other runner movements as stolen bases.
