Option to adjust the number of outs per inning

Post by diasks2 » Thu Jun 18, 2009 8:40 pm

First, thanks for a great product! I love it

My enhancement request relates to adding an option where the user can adjust the number of outs per inning. I use your score program to score a modified baseball game where there are 2 outs per inning. So, for now I was using the 'end inning' button. However, the stats are still calculated based on a 3 out inning (i.e. ERA, etc.). If you could add in an option to adjust the number of outs per inning, and have it flow through to the formulas you use to calculate the stats it would be greatly appreciated!

Do you have a link that shows rules of "2 out baseball"? We have never heard of this before, but if it is something standard, we would like to support it at some point.

Thank you.

Thanks for your quick reply.

I run a league in Japan and based on factors such as game time length and limiting the amount of runs per game, the league plays 6 inning games with 2 outs per inning. All of the rules are the same as regular baseball, the only change being that there are 2 outs per inning. I use your software program to score all of the league's games. And, as of now, have to manually edit any stats that are based on a 3 out inning.

If you could support this toggle feature (similar to how you can adjust the number of innings per game) it would be greatly appreciated. For example, things such as the pitching chart, which I think is beautiful and a great feature....for our league it shows the wrong number of innings pitched for my games (i.e. since I end each inning after two outs, if a pitcher throws 6 inning at 2 outs per inning, it shows 4 innings pitched).

Thanks again for your quick response. I appreciate you taking the time to consider adding this!

Cheers,
Kevin
