Scoring screen enhancements

Post by Tomy. » Sun Mar 18, 2012 11:10 pm

Hi, first congrats to the great app. I've scored through a few seasons and leagues and now it was time to move away from the book :-)

What do you think about considering the following enhancements on the scoring screen?
  • Make the pitch locator area optional even on large screen android devices, unless there's an electronic tracker or scorekeeper sits right behind the plate somehow with unobstructed view, this is probably not that useful.
  • Add quick pitch review on the scoring screen (total and current inning pitch counts) to support coach decisions around pitcher changes, this could even optionally replace the pitch locator. In the current version switching from the scoring page to the stats, select home or away team, pitch stats is not a convenient way to find out the recent pitch count while game is under way.
Thanks!

I only have experience with the ipad version, not sure what version you are using, but:
  • pitch location area can be replaced with a live scorecard.
current pitcher totals can be viewed on the scoring screen, under the lineups. They are cumulative for that pitcher for that game (not by inning). There is an inning recap feature that will give you the inning by inning totals, this pops up on the scoring screen and requires just one button press.

Is it possible to show the scorecard as mprusak said it worked for him instead of the pitch-by-pitch or the pitch locator on the Kindle?

Otherwise I kinda found anwers to both my questions.
- If I tap the team name on the top of the screen, I can switch between showing the defensive or the offensive team. Showing the defensive team's lineup will also show the currently pitching pitcher's total pitch count.
- If I tap the ball/strike counter in the top corner of the screen, it'll replace the pitch locator with the pitch-by-pitch list which is in a way "less useless" (still not in love, but looks better).

There is not a way to show the scorecard on the main scoring screen of the kindle while scoring. There is just not enough room. You can bring up the scorecard full screen, but we do not have an "overlay" option like we do on the iPad.
