Courtesy Runner Prompt?

Post by rdrake » Mon May 19, 2014 7:29 am

It would be nice to have iScore Baseball prompt the user to ask if a courtesy runner is going to be used when the current pitcher or catcher reaches base. This feature would aid coaches in making best use of the courtesy runner option in youth leagues. Sometimes the opportunity is missed because players in youth leagues don’t consistently play the same positions each inning and a coach overlooks it. The reminder prompt could be turned on or off in the settings.

I like this idea.

I also wish it was more obvious who the last batted out was. I can never answer that question fast enough. I know where to find it, but its often difficult.
I would love to see a single circle and double circle (or similar marking) around the lineup number of the last and second to last batted outs on the lineup scoring screen. (similar to the little arrow that marks the current batter)

When you tap Courtesy Runner, it actually does show who the last two outs. And you can choose whether to show "Any Out" or only "Batted Outs" (different leagues have different rules).

We will add the Courtesy Runner option to our enhancement list.

Thank you.

Like I said, I know where to find it...you can also look at the scorebook...I'm just saying, that is a question that you have 1 second to answer and I'm never able to get to it fast enough. Really wish it was always visible in some way.

The prompt is a great idea because it's a good reminder on something that is easy to miss in the heat of the moment.
