I just purchased a fire and the Iscore app and used it for the first time this week. I too was scoring in landscape mode but not locked. I had the issue with recording the errors if a runner acdvanced due to an error. It would ask me who caused the error and theonly thing I could see was the very bottom of one player box ( presumably the catcher ). I could not acurately record the error and was forced to back out and record the play incorrectly.

Sounds like the user above is running into the same issue. Have you been able to determine why this happens and a possible fix?

Thanks,

Yes. The update was just approved by Amazon yesterday. Check the Amazon App Store for the update.

I updated my Fire to iSBb version 3.47.506 and entered a game (reentered one from this weekend, the first couple of batters got recorded incorrectly as I was trying to position fielders). Between each inning I put the Fire in standby like I do on live games.

The GOOD NEWS: I did not experience any of the shifted fielders when coming out of standby, so it looks like the fix works for this use case.

The BAD NEWS: Twice during the game I did experience the display shift.

The first time was the same as Sliderball1's description above (and I have seen this in the past as well). A batter hit a single to left field, and then advance to second on an error by the left fielder. When I got to the screen to choose the fielder that caused the error all of the fielders were shifted up with only the very bottom of the catcher icon showing. I had to undo the play and reenter it. The upon reentering the fielder icons were in the correct positions.

The second time was on a fielders choice. Runners at 2nd and 3rd, ball hit to 3rd base. Runner on 3rd scores, batter reaches first on FC. Runner on second is tagged out at third. When I got to the screen to choose the fielder that made the out all of the fielders were again shifted up with only the bottom of the catcher visible. Had to undo and reeneter the play to award the out to the 3rd baseman.

This is still on our issue list. It would be much easier if we could reproduce it 100% of the time, but it is one of those things that only happens sometimes, so that makes it harder to identify / fix. If you have steps that can cause it to occur 100% of the time, please let us know as we should then be able to fix it much faster.

When I get the error I always have the screen locked in landscape. Doesn't occur all the time but that is the one constant for me. I have yet to encounter the error when the screen is unlocked, but will post again if I do

FTM,

Was there any progress made on identifying the cause and fixing the second issue I detailed above (fielder icons shifted up and off of the screen when entering errors)? This situation has happend several times in the last few weeks, causing a force close a couple of times. The time lost trying to recover from this has forced me to miss subsequent plays, so the issue is affecting the "goodness" of my scorekeeping.

Thanks,

It is still something we have not been able to reproduce in a way we can fix it. If you have steps that can make it happen intentionally, please let us know so we can see it happening on a device here, and then attempt a fix, and see that the same steps do not make it happen.
