We had a situation 2 outs, runner on 3rd, 2 strikes on batter. There was a dropped 3rd strike, and the batter ran to first, and the runner on 3rd broke for home. The batter was thrown out 2-3 for the out, and the runner was tagged out at home 3-2, to complete the double play.

However, it doesn't show up in the fielding stats as a double play (scorebook shows DP, but not the sequence).

I scored it two ways:
Out: dropped 3rd strike
2-3-2
runner on 3rd - out at home: double play

Scorebook shows double play, but fielding stats for the team doesn't give credit for a double play.

I then re-scored it:
batter: out: dropped 3rd strike
2-3

Runner on 3rd - out at home: caught stealing
3-2

Either way gives the correct out order on the scorebook, but it would be nice to have the double play credited. Should I be doing it differently?

So there were 2 outs? Then the 2-3 PO would be the third, making the runner on third meaningless, no?

oops, my bad. Should have been 1 out... So the 3-2 should have been the 3rd out, and the dropped strike 2-3 the second out.
