iPad Mini 2 - iScore v5.005
A few things related to iScoreCast...
On the "Game Info" screen before pressing "Score Game" under the "OPTIONS" section, there is an option "SCORECAST SYNCHRONIZE" and "EMAIL SCORECAST LINK" should these not both be "ISCORECAST" instead of "SCORECAST"?
When scoring a game, there is a little antenna icon that when tapped presents a menu where you can turn iScoreCast on and off. It says "ISCORECAST ON/OFF" with the ON to the left and OFF to the right, should that not be reversed to correspond with the slider (slide to left to turn off, slide to right to turn on)?
Regarding that slider... Once an iScoreCast is in progress, that slider does not appear to do anything. No matter if I have it in the "Off" or "On" position, it still sends updates to the iScoreCast server. You can verify this be looking at the "Total Data" section on that menu... the "Send Events" counter increases whenever you make a change (I used undo/redo to test) and if you monitor the iScoreCast you will see the changes on the server. This happens regardless of the state of the on/off slider.
I was attempting to re-score a game due to a single mistake I made (marked a batter as being out instead of a fielder's choice of a force out at second) and there being no way to edit the play-by-play to fix this (this is another problem since it was the last out of the inning, I see no reason why this change should not be allowed). So I was going to turn off updates to the iScoreCast and undo everything up to the mistaken event and then use the play-by-play on the iScoreCast to re-enter everything. As I began to do this (turning off iScoreCast using that option on the antenna button first) I noticed that the "undo"'s were still being reflected on the server even though it said iScoreCast was off.
This doesn't seem like expected behavior. If you turn iScoreCast off, you would expect it to no longer send updates to the server. When you turn it back on, it can sync the game and continue sending updates. At least this is the way I would expect it to work.
Thanks.
