Score a Game Issue

Post by ehenze » Mon Apr 05, 2010 6:28 am

Using version 2.41.67 on IPod.

Having issues with substitution. When I switch a pitcher during the game, the last pitcher takes ownership over all the pitching stats. Maybe I am doing this wrong.. please help.

From Main Screen, select Score a Game
Select game and then Next
Play ball
At some point during the game when a pitching change is made, I select Misc then Show Starting Lineup
Select the player (who happens to be playing another position), change their position to P and select Done
Select the current pitcher, change their position, and select Done
Select Done to exit lineup screen

All the stats go to the last pitcher.

You are doing it wrong. Do not go to "starting lineup." Instead, touch the pitcher when you substitute. A screen will come up with all the players on the defense. Scroll until you see the new pitcher, and touch that pitcher so he/she is selected. Then touch the upper-right (don't remember if it is "save" or "done". Since you are using someone on the field, you'll need to touch their old position (you can do this before hitting "save/done" at the top) and put in that substitute as well.

The way you are doing it is there to correct a mistake in the starting lineup - you put in the wrong starting pitcher. So it reassigns all the stats to the new pitcher.

Doing it as jcbeckman states during the game is the right way to do it. There are training materials available at http://iscorecentral.com/baseball/training.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; that are really worth watching / reading through.

To correct this after the game, you can go into Game Manager, select the game, go to Pitch by Pitch, and put in the correct substitutes at the correct points, and it will update the stats accordingly.
