On Base Percentage (OBP) miscalculated?

I am keeping my son's little league games on the app this spring (AWESOME APP BY THE WAY) and was giving him a hard time about his OBP tonight when it hit me -> the app is reporting .429 (6/14) but we counted it up and he has been on base 9/14 times so far. It is leaving out a FC and his reaching on an error twice. Is this a miscalculation or perhaps an error in the way in which I am entering the plays?

OBP = (Hits + Walks + Hit-By-Pitch) divided by (At Bats + Walks+ Hit-By-Pitch + Sac Flys)

FC and Errors don't count, at least by MLB standards. It may be different for your league.

Embarrassingly I have been involved in baseball my entire life and thought that they were. Thanks for the education :)

ROE (reached on error) is a great stat to have, at the younger ages, to go along with OBP. I know FTM is looking at getting in a future release.

Yes, we will be adding RBOE for a future release, but it will still not be included in OBP as jcbeckman has pointed out.

somewhat related.. (and I have no idea where this fits on the priority list for additional stat column requests.. ) but when you add in ROE, can you give consideration to "reached on fielders choice" too , and probably even higher on my list is "put out".

Agree not a traditional stat, but in little league, the idea that ball in play out is better than a strike out is true.. Would be nice to be able to look across a kids batting stats and reconcile Plate Appearances with outcomes, (hits, BB, ROE, PO, etc) .. as it is now (as it is in traditional/major league stats, there is usually a gap) ..in little league the gap is exaggerated , narrowing that down would be great.
