Pitch by Pitch -- can't assign error to correct player

I had scored a hit which was decided after the game to have been an error. So, I went into the pitch-by-pitch, found the play, tapped edit and chose "Error", then when asked which position caused the error, I tapped the left fielder. When the play redisplayed, the error had been assigned to another player. No matter who I try to assign the error to, it is always assigned to the same player.

FWIW, this was a showcase game with lots of substitutions which I imaging may contribute to the problem, but I'm curious if others have had this problem.

In that case, it was the 4th player in the lineup, the catcher. I just created a test game and duplicated the problem, but this time the error was assigned to the first player in the lineup who was not assigned a position in the field. I am doing this on an iPad. Maybe this should be in the iPad forum instead of issue reporting?

I can not replicate this error on an iPhone. I can assign / reassign singles to errors and vise a versa and who error is on all as expected in pitch by pitch editor.

When you make the edit, does it show up as reassigned and then after you hit save disapear? If not issue. if so, try to re force stat re calc. by going back to play and gameover screen, when you exit game over screen stats for a game are recalculated . if this does not solve..

Suggest you export your database and send ftm a detailed email describing the issue and how you can replicate it... If it is an ipad issue, would like to identify it.

This appears to be an iPad only problem. I just replicated the situation on the iPhone and it worked fine. I will move this thread to the iPad forum.

Can you use Data Sharing to move that game to the iPhone? If the problem follows the game, it's a db problem.
