strange problem recording a base on balls

Post by Hnorman » Sat Mar 15, 2014 6:52 pm

I am using iScore Baseball v.4.40 on an iPad 2 64GB WiFi running iOS 7.1. My User ID is C5792FA421, and I have exported data after experiencing the following problem. To see the game in question, look for "3/15/14 2014 13U Spikes at West Cobb Steel."

Musser led off the game for the Spikes, and after a 3-1 count, drew a walk. When I recorded the 4th ball, it showed Ball 4 but didn't send Musser to 1B, leaving him at bat to receive more pitches. Furthermore, it made a substitution, removing the Steel's pitcher and replacing him with "Coach." Further pitches to Musser never triggered a walk, but ran the count to 8-1.

I was able to undo back to a 3-1 count, then give Musser a HBP. Every time I tried to record a walk, the same thing happened. There were no actual hit batsmen, so every time you see HBP, it was actually a walk...a total of 5, I think.

Later I tried starting a dummy game from scratch to see what happened. Three different dummy games involving six unrelated teams, and the same problem recording a walk occurred in each dummy game.

I did not have this issue the previous game I scored. That may or may not have been prior to upgrading to iOS 7.1.

Please help. Any other info I can provide? Thanks!

As noted in the email response, but for anyone following along, the issue was having turned on the Coach Pitch on Walk option as some very young leagues use. Once that us turned back off your problem will be resolved.
