iPad 1 crashes CONSTANTLY on export tries

It is a HUGE problem. Every time I try to export the app crashes. Probably 20-50 times (LITERALLY!) before, seemingly at random, it will finally export. I now that Apple has zapped the iPad 1 so folk will upgrade by claiming the new apps need new memory but I can't believe iscore would do that sort of thing to loyal customers (I have three versions of iscore on other devices). Do you know what the problem is? Is there something I can do to make this stop happening? Am I the only one with an original ipad having this problem? (Years worth of games)
Thanks,
Eddie

We have not done anything to prevent iScore from working on an original iPad. Apple's own iOS has been getting larger and larger however which leaves less and less room for the apps. On newer iPads, this is not a problem as they have more memory, but on the iPad 1, sometimes all of Apple's code that stays running (email, calendars, etc) takes up all the memory. We would suggest making sure you close all applications (double tap the home button, and close any of the apps you see running), and then fully reset the device (press and hold the power button and home button until the Apple logo appears, and your device will restart). These steps will free up as much memory as possible. Then try doing your Export again.

I have answered this in prior posts and am glad to post an update..
I still can use my original iPAD 1 to score games and have a VERY large iscore database.
but have had to strip down what i use my iPad 1 for. not because of iScore but because of Apple.
about the time of iOS5 coming out, I took the initiative to totally reset my iPad to factory settings and put only must have sports apps on my iPad. (iscore and watch espy and MLB . com ). apple email and apple calendar got the boot. (google calendar and web mail still used)
the forewarning is the reset changes the iScore customer number. before reseting the iPad, I made 300% sure i had registered iscore devices to an email address and option exported, then when i re installed iscore and got a new device id, i could register it to my email and then transfer databases by admin web site and import back to iPad. All great and use isocre iPad 1 daily.
