... the stats did not follow and they stll "there" when looking with the"pitch by pitch" sequences under the previous name before correction
what can I do to give this player is stats back?

What i did :
I add a new player in Player Manager (with the right spelling)
I tried to merge... some info did not follow
The name of the player appears on the Roster but not in the Team Stats...
I did several merging whitout any error...

I have the feeling I might have reverse the names during the merging because it looks like I just add a new player to the team who did not play a game yet and also because the name (corrected) of this player does not appear in the Team Stats after 2 games (season beginning)

is there a way to link the stats of those 2 games to this "new player"?

If you have created duplicate players, merging is the correct way to combine them back into one. When you do a merge, the player in the "left list" becomes the player that all data is merged into. All stat data will follow with merged players. Please see the following link if you still have discrepancies:
