I use "NFCA Homeplate: ATEC: Beyond The Basics of Scoring Fastpitch Softball" as a rule reference. It used to be a free download from the http://www.nfca.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; website, but I could not find the link anymore. (Fortunately I saved a copy.) You might be able to find saved online versions elsewhere with a web search.

Further clarification. I do believe, that if pitcher just forgets the runner going home and simply throws to first, conceding the run, she would (assuming a good throw) have gotten my daughter at 1st. Then it would be scored as a SAC and therefore an RBI and no at bat for my daughter. That would have been an accepatble outcome too. But scoring it as FC I think is unfair because she loses the more palatable SAC stat just because the pitcher looked first for the out at home? Not very fair, do you agree?

If the runner scored, then it seems either Sac Bunt Safe or Hit is the scoring since she was laying own a bunt.

As you say, it does not seem FC would be an appropriate choice for the bunt situation. Even if it was just the runner advancing to second on the bunt, it would be a Sac Bunt situation.
