Lineup vs Roster

Post by samjoke » Fri Apr 05, 2013 3:17 pm

Well, I messed up first by putting the visiting players in the lineup of the created game, and not a team manager roster. Then, during and after scoring the game, forgot to "copy lineup to roster". So, then I had to input team again (double header) and I copied that lineup to the roster, now there are separate stats and I would like them to be together under the same team name so if we meet up with them again I have all the hits they made and not just half of them at my disposal during the game. I noticed that all the players entered were in the player manager twice because of the way I did this.

Thanks

Welcome to the board!

First, you can copy lineup->roster anytime. To do this after the fact, go into the game, from game info screen, pitch-by-pitch/edit game. First event is game starts. Edit starting lineup, press options button.

Second, you can use the merge function to make your two versions of each player into a single one. From Player Manager, press merge button.

I just want to say that I had my email typed ready to send to the support team and thought... I should probably check the forum first... Wow! My question was answered exactly! I was trying to figure out how to "Copy the Lineup to Roster" after a game had been finalized. Thanks so much for posting this solution. I need to remember the "Pitch by Pitch" option, there's a lot of functionality in there! One "waste of time for the Help Desk" email averted!!

I would like to add to this topic if you don't mind. This is on a softball game. I started the game and during the inning my coach inadvertanly changed the line up. so my 6 batter was batting 7th and the 7th batter batted 6th. how do i correct the stats. becouse i just continue scoring even though i new the line up changed. but i didnt know how to revise it at the time.

Welcome to the board!

From game info screen, pitch-by-pitch/edit game. First event is game starts. Edit starting lineup. Drag the #7 player up to #6 (#6 will now be #7).

Thats it. You did this correctly. Score the lineup spot, not the actual batter...you can always shift the batters around into the correct spots.

By the way, during the game, you could simply do Misc->Show Starting Lineup and change it from there.
