iOS v3.09 iScore Baseball submitted to Apple

Post by FTMSupport » Tue Mar 08, 2011 3:23 am

Bug Fix release. There were two issues introduced in the last build that have been fixed (as well as some other minor issues):

1. Deleted Games issue - Deleted games could appear in statistics. This is fixed in v3.09. Workaround between now and approval of v3.09 is to export your database, go to the Admin Website, and run a tune up, then import your data back to your device and the deleted games will no longer appear in your statistics

2. Lineups - prior to 3.0, only the first player assigned to any defensive position would be left in that position when game began. v3.0 introduced an issue where it could be any one of the multiple players assigned to the position. v3.09 will go back to the pre 3.0 logic of first player in a defensive position gets it. Workaround between now and approval is to make sure you only assign one player to each defensive position in your lineup

Other minor issues include fix for sorting of games to take the new Scheduled Date into account, and an issue with the text color on the Light skin for iPad.

Does this also fix the weird problem where you must mark the first batter out, then immediately cancel, before you can use the out screen without it becomming messed up?

Ditto. Thanks FTM

Random question..Will the game manager show "scheduled and the date" or just "scheduled" under the game name?

It will still just say scheduled, but that is a good idea... we will change it to say "Scheduled: xx/xx/xx hh:mm" in a future update. Thank you.

Posted elsewhere on forum was a good detailed explanation by FTM on workaround
FTMSupport wrote:There is actually an issue with the current release that is fixed with v3.09 which is currently awaiting approval from Apple. When a game is deleted with v3.0, a flag is set on the game saying it is deleted instead of actually deleting the game. With v3.0, the data sharing does not properly handle the deleted flag --- it expects that the game is truly deleted, and therefore fails when doing the data share.

As soon as the update is approved by Apple (we are hoping any day now), then what you did is exactly the right steps. If you can wait for Apple's approval, then you will just be able to do the Data Share as you would expect after having deleted the game.

If you do not want to wait, we actually made the "Tuneup" option on the Admin Website truly remove deleted games from your device, and then the data transfer would work. To use this option, here are the steps to follow:

1. Do an Options->Export from the device you deleted the game on

2. Log in to the Admin Website (see Options->Admin Website from within iScore to see how to log in to the admin website for your account... you will enter the information there into a browser on a computer)

3. Click the Tuneup tab, then click the Optimize Now button

4. Do an Options->Import to copy the optimized data back to your device

You should then be able to do the data sharing for the game.
