Pitch Count Reporting

This may have been previously requested, but I don't recall seeing...

Many of us in the current age of preserving developing arms are in leagues where pitch counts have to be recorded and submitted on a game-by-game basis.

Could we have an output option for reporting basic information?

• Simple game results (Lugnuts 5 vs. Mudhens 7)
  + pitch counts
  Pitcher A: 45 pitches, 3 1/3 innings, (12 batters Faced - [optional])
  etc for remaining pitchers.

Also, some leagues have a rest restriction however allow a batter to be finished and the count to be reported like 45/(48) Which translates to the 45 max was reached and +3 to finish batter was made. Many leagues then use the first number for the rest rules and the second number against the max pitches per week.

Finishing the batter is allowed to prevent additional slowing of the game mid-batter, additional pitches stays generally within the intent of the limitation/rest requirements.

Other than knowing the number of pitches a pitcher is allowed to pitch (and thus showing the "overage"), this information is available in the current HTML output and the Scorebook output as well, so it sounds like you are just looking for a simplified output that you need to submit after each game?

We actually do have plans to allow "choosing" which data to appear in your output as opposed to just showing all stats data, so when we add this capability, it may satisfy what you are looking for.

Yes,

That would be the difficulty as leagues have diferent limits and there are different limits per age group and baseball is different than softball.

Allowing a seperate output - user outputs to self and then can edit per any specific league differences and then forward to whomever requires the reporting, would probably be the "pareto" solution.
